The quick detach large tripod adjusts from 7" to 63" when fully extended. This tripod is stable, versatile, light weight and collapses to 19" for easy carry within a ruck or lashed to your gear. Tripod features a compact ballhead with quick release. Tripod comes in a factory gun metal gray finish. Upper leg sections are foam covered for comfort and ease of handling. The SSP-2 was originally manufactured to support .50 caliber sniper rifles currently in use in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The SSP-2 supports the wider fore ends of stocks such as the McMillan A5, TRG 42, and Manners T4. SSP-2 covers are available in OD Green, Coyote Brown, Crye Multicam and Black. The tripod, when coupled with a SSP-2 provides a stable shooting platform from the low prone to standing. The tripod ballhead allows the shooter to quickly adjust the angle or target line of their rifle to quickly provide a stable shooting platform.
